CTET 2018 Notification

This year, CBSE has given CTET 2018 Notification for conducting CTET examination which will be held on 16th September 2018. CTET 2018 Notification has appeared on its official website. Its online registration process has started from 1st August 2018  and will end at 27th August 2018 . The last date of submitting the fee is 30th August till 3:30 pm. Those who wish to apply can do so from the official website of CTET.
Registration Process for CTET- 2018
Following is the process of registering for the examination:

  1. Open www.ctet.nic.in the official website of CTET.
  2.  As the website opens you would find the link “Apply Online”. Click on the link to proceed further.
  3.  The online application form loads on the screen. Fill in the complete form, mentioning all the details. Do note the application number/ registration number provided by CTET.
  4.  After filling in the required details upload your scanned photograph along with a scanned image of your signature.
  5.  Next, you have to pay the examination fee. The fee can be paid online using credit/debit card or offline via e-challan.
  6.  Take a print out of the confirmation page for your personal record and future reference.
    Guidelines for uploading the scanned images
    While uploading the scanned images, the following points must be taken care of:
    1 .    Image of the scanned photograph should have dimensions 3.5 cm by 4.5 cm (width by height).
    2.    The file size of the scanned photograph should fall within 10 to 100 KB.
    3.    Image of the scanned signature should have dimensions 3.5 cm by 1.5 cm (width by height).
    4.  The file size of the scanned signature should fall between 3 to 30 KB.

The examination process is simple and easy. Candidates who wish to sit in the exam should hurry up and apply as soon as possible.

 Major changes  in CTET 2018

CBSE has decided to conduct the exam in online mode this year as opposed to the traditional pen-paper model that was followed earlier. Apart from the mode of the examination, some changes are anticipated in the exam though no official notification is released in this regard. However, as the syllabus for the examination has not changed, candidates are advised to follow the syllabus but brace for changes in the model and complexity of questions asked in the online examination.

CTET 2018 Call Letter /Admit Card

After the online application process is complete, admit cards are to be downloaded from the official website. No paper admit cards are issued and candidates are required to carry a print out of the e-admit card for the examination. Separate admit cards will be issued for candidates appearing for Paper 1, Paper 2 and for those appearing for both the papers.

CTET 2018 Final Eligibility Certificate

Once the mark sheets are released, candidates securing 60% and above are issued Eligibility Certificate that are used by school managements(Central& State governments, Local Bodies and other aided and unaided schools) to fill in ports of teachers.

School managements may also provide reservations to Backward classes, SC/ST and candidates with different disabilities as per the existing reservation policy and guidelines.

Armed with above information regarding CTET 2018 examination, interested candidates are encouraged to start preparation for the examination without waiting for the announcement of application dates. Syllabus for the examination is vast and so we will cover the syllabus in detail in coming posts. All candidates should take special care to make sure all the eligibility criteria is met and the syllabus is fully understood along with gearing up for the first major change in the examination – online mode of delivery.
